Quality Control for Custom Aluminum Components

Quality Planning Begins with the Drawing

Reliable aluminum components require clear specifications before production. Chengdacai reviews drawing revision, material, dimensions, tolerances, machining, finish, cosmetic requirements and acceptance criteria as part of quotation and production planning.

Incoming Material and Traceability

Material requirements should identify alloy, temper and any requested certificate. Project documentation and part identification can be aligned with agreed traceability requirements.

Dimensional Inspection

Extrusion and machined dimensions are controlled against approved drawings. Critical features should be identified with functional datums so the inspection plan focuses on assembly, sealing, mounting and performance interfaces.

Surface and Appearance Inspection

For anodized or powder-coated parts, color, gloss, texture, exposed faces, permissible marks and approved samples should be defined before production. Packaging controls help protect cosmetic surfaces during handling and shipment.

First Article and Production Documentation

Customers should state requirements for first-article samples, dimensional reports, material certificates, finish records or other project documents in the RFQ.
