Relative to the other grades we extrude. This is a selection aid, not a specification.
| Temper | Tensile (MPa) | Yield (MPa) | Elongation (%) | Hardness (HB) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| T5 | 150 | 110 | 12 | 60 |
| T6 | 185 | 170 | 10 | 73 |
Typical values for extruded product. Minimum guaranteed values depend on temper and product form — the mill certificate governs.

Extrudes at lower pressure than 6061, so it takes thinner walls and more intricate sections, and it anodises to the most uniform finish. Strength is moderate — use 6061 or 6082 where the part carries real load.
99.6% pure aluminium for conductivity, ductility and chemical resistance.
99.0% pure aluminium — the workhorse of the commercially pure grades.
Manganese-bearing alloy — about 20% stronger than 1100 with similar workability.
The strongest common non-heat-treatable sheet alloy, and the marine standard.
A stronger structural alternative to 6063, developed for extruded transport profiles.
