Description
Chengdacai manufactures custom LED lampshade aluminum housing extrusions for architectural lighting, linear luminaires and OEM LED fixtures. The profile can combine a structural housing, LED-board mounting surface, diffuser interface, cable space, heat-dissipation features and installation geometry in one extruded section.
Application and design review
LED housing performance depends on the relationship between the aluminum body, light source, diffuser, driver, end caps and mounting system. During DFM review, we consider extrusion feasibility alongside the thermal path, optical interface and visible-surface requirements.
Diffuser interface: channels, snap features and retention geometry should match the diffuser material and assembly method.
Thermal path: the LED-board mounting area and external surface should support the project’s thermal design.
Visible surfaces: extrusion lines, handling marks, color tolerance and gloss should be defined for architectural applications.
Assembly features: screw bosses, end-cap holes, mounting slots and cable passages can be integrated or machined.

Provide the profile drawing, diffuser or mating-part dimensions, alloy, finish, finished length, visible-surface standard, machining details, end-cap requirements, prototype quantity, annual volume and packaging expectations.

Can the diffuser channel be integrated into the extrusion?
Yes. The interface can be designed into the profile, subject to extrusion feasibility and the tolerances required by the diffuser and assembly method.
Which alloy is commonly used for LED lighting profiles?
6063 is frequently considered for its extrudability and anodizing appearance. The final alloy depends on section design, strength and machining needs.
Can mounting holes and end-cap features be machined?
Yes. Cutting, drilling, milling, tapping and slot machining can be completed after extrusion.
How is anodized color consistency controlled?
Color control should use an approved sample and defined range. Alloy, temper, surface preparation, batch conditions and profile geometry can influence appearance.
Can finished profiles be protected against scratches?
Yes. Protective film, separators and project-specific export packaging can be evaluated for visible surfaces.
